New diesel and petrol prices in Pakistan from now onwards

Big reduction in diesel and petrol prices announced by PM Shahbaz Shariff

Earlier today, PM Shahbaz Shariff made a big announcement regarding the oil prices. the petrol price per liter is slashed by Rs 18.5. Shahbaz Shariff earlier promised that the benefits of lower price of oil in the international market would be transferred to the people of Pakistan. today this promised is fulfilled.

addressing the nation, PM stressed that after coming into power, there was no other option but to increase the in petrol and diesel price, since the economy was on the verge of default.

but now, we are seeing big decline in oil international prices, this has given the government the chance of providing relief to the people after big price hikes made earlier in petrol and diesel prices.

as for concerning the the price of diesel per liter, a price slash of Rs 40.54 is being announced by the Prime minister Shahbaz Shariff.

after these reduction the new price for petrol is Rs 230.23 per liter and Rs 236 for diesel. furthermore, the levy on the petroleum is not increased on all products.

Better times ahead

in his speech, the Prime Minister explained that the new coalition government took control of economy which was in very bad condition and default was almost inevitable. he criticized the previous government for not binding to the the IMF agreement and instead, reduced petrol and diesel prices when there was not enough money in the national treasury. 

He said,

However, today with God's blessing, oil prices are declining in international markets and it is by His mercy that we have had the chance to reduce the prices today.

After  the successful agreement with IMF for loan, PM Shahbaz Shariff appreciated the hard work of Miftah Ismail for successful agreement

Moreover, PM also warned that there may be some more hard times ahead for us but he add further that there would be good times too.

After  the announcement of PM, Finance Minister Miftah Ismail said on Twitter, PM has just announced a reduction in the prices of petrol of Rs18.5 per liter [and] in diesel of Rs40.54 per liter.”

The new price of Kerosene is Rs 196.45 and LDO is price at Rs 191.44.
